Dataverse repository software installation archetype research and definition

While working on improving the user experiences of the Dataverse repository software, we wondered if the task of envisioning how different installations use the software could be simplified. We hypothesized that the concept of user personas could extend to software installations, and began a research and analysis effort to test the idea.

This poster presents results and process for the year-long research project conducted by myself, research assistant Jonathan Ji and members of the Dataverse research, development, and management team. I presented the poster at the Information Architecture Conference in 2021.
